All poker players can be divided into four groups. All these types of players have their own techniques which can be very useful under certain circumstances.
Each style is based on two attributes:
If the player is tight (plays very few hands) or loose (plays a lot of hands):
Or the player can be either aggressive or passive. An aggressive player has the following features: he bluffs and raises while a passive player calls the bets of other players.
Loose-Aggressive
Loose-aggressive player is the weakest player especially in online poker game. This player gambles according to the following principle: he raises after every flop. Their strategy often works against poor players and will win a lot of small pots, but online, these players will go broke quickly. Sharks are often attracted by such players. The sharks are fine with letting these players have 10 small pots; they are after the three large pots which will eventually break this player. The only advice here is not to stick to one and the same table. It is better to change tables every 50 hands.
Loose-Passive
This is another weak category. They typically will simply call the bets of the other players disregarding the Pot Odds or strength of their hand. These players will lose very slowly, often being able to stay in against the other players, but unable to beat the house rake.
Tight-Passive
What allows players of this type to win is other players who play the game wrong. Such players are easy to notice. You never have to worry about a bluff from them. If this type of player has a decent hand or a lot of outs, he or she will call your bet or make a small bet. If not, they will fold.
Tight-Aggressive
This style can be very successful for online play. They have the following principle of the game: see a flop with a decent hand and then take a shot at the pot after the flop with a bet.
