So how does the betting work? You have to make an Ante to receive cards. After receiving cards players have to make a choice. If you make a bet, which is at least equal to the previous bet you call. You can raise, but before you have to meet the highest bet of the table. After you call the other amount it is basically up to you how much you want to bet. Let's take the example from above: somebody on the table raises a dollar, you have to call him with a dollar and then you can raise whatever you want. In some casinos there is a raising limit, which can’t be exceeded. You are out of the game if you fold. You lose you bet and any chance of winning. If it is evident that you will hardly be able to form a good hand you’d better fold.
