A 52-card deck without Jokers is used in the game of Poker. Poker can be said to be a game of luck and chance. Of course there are professionals in this game, but it will hardly help them to get better cards. Before you sit down at a poker table make sure to read the sign next to the dealer which shows the minimum table limit. Each player makes at least the minimum bet and receives 5 cards face down. After this first deal the first round of betting starts. To stay into the game you have to make a bet equal to the highest bet made by one of the players. Afterwards you have to decide which cards you want to keep and which ones you want to throw away. You can hold or throw away as many cards as you like. You will get the same number of cards in place of discarded ones. After the second and final deal the betting is about to start. After the final betting round there is a showdown. The hands of the players are compared. The player with the strongest hand is the winner.
