A 52-card deck without Jokers is used in the game of Poker. To play the game of Poker you will need some luck. There are a lot of skilled and experienced poker players, but when it concerns the deal of the cards there is nothing they can do. Before you sit down at a poker table make sure to read the sign next to the dealer which shows the minimum table limit. Each player makes at least the minimum bet and receives 5 cards face down. There is a betting round after the first deal. You have to meet the highest bet to stay in the game. Then you have to decide which cards you want to keep and which to discard. If you have good cards you can hold all of them, if you have bad cards you can throw away all of them as well. After everybody on the table decides which cards they want to hold or discard, the dealer deals the same amount of cards to each player as they threw away. Then the second deal and the betting round follow. After the final betting round there is a showdown. The hands of the players are compared. The player with the strongest hand is the winner.
