All poker players can be divided into four groups. All these types of players have their own techniques which can be very useful under certain circumstances.
Each of these types has at least two basic attributes.
If the player is tight (plays very few hands) or loose (plays a lot of hands):
If the player is aggressive (raises and bluffs) or passive (calls other players bets).
Loose-Aggressive
In fact it is the weakest category in online poker. This player gambles according to the following principle: he raises after every flop. Their strategy often works against poor players and will win a lot of small pots, but online, these players will go broke quickly. Loose-Aggressive players attract sharks. Sharks let such a player has his small pots, but then they are ready to break this player and win all his money. Loose-Passive
This is another weak category. These players can only make money in a game with a lot of wild players and generally have to depend on luck to have a successful poker session. Their strategy is to call the bets of other players no matter how strong their hands are. Unlike other players these ones can stay in the game for a very long period of time. But still even they are not able of beating the house.
Tight-Passive
These players can win money simply because there are so many bad players in the online poker rooms. The biggest weakness of a Tight-Passive player is that they are so easy to figure out. Such players never bluff. If this type of player has a decent hand or a lot of outs, he or she will call your bet or make a small bet. If not, they will fold.
Tight-Aggressive
This is the best type among all others. They have the following principle of the game: see a flop with a decent hand and then take a shot at the pot after the flop with a bet.
