Poker is a popular game throughout the world. On the one hand it is based on the card games, which were popular several centuries ago in Europe, on the other hand, the modern version of the game is an American game. There exist several Poker variations, but they don’t differ from each other greatly, the principle is the same. If you know the principles of the game well enough you can easily be a winner. Poker is a game of betting as to which player holds the best hand. Traditionally the strongest hand available is a combination of 5 highest-ranking cards, there are poker variations, in which the best hands are different. When playing High/Low poker there can be two players, who can win and then split the pot. Both the player with the highest hand and the player with the lowest hand are winners. The bets made by the players are added to the pot, which is situated in the center of the table. No player can compete for the pot unless he or she is willing to meet the highest bet made by another player. Because of this rule, players are able to bluff and win the pot. The object of the game is to win the pot. A player can win the pot in one of the two ways. After all bets are in, all players that are still in show their hands. The winner is the player with the strongest hand. If during betting, a player makes a bet that no other players are willing to meet, that player wins the pot without showing his/her cards. All cards of the 52 card deck are used. The cards are dealt one at a time, clockwise motion (number of cards varies with game). Aces are high, but aces rank low in the sequence A-2-3-4-5.
