A 52-card deck without Jokers is used in the game of Poker. Poker can be said to be a game of luck and chance. Of course there are professionals in this game, but it will hardly help them to get better cards. There is a table with maximum and minimum bets next to the dealer. You should read this table before you start playing. Each player makes at least the minimum bet and receives 5 cards face down. There is a betting round after the first deal. To stay into the game you have to make a bet equal to the highest bet made by one of the players. Afterwards you have to decide which cards you want to keep and which ones you want to throw away. If you have good cards you can hold all of them, if you have bad cards you can throw away all of them as well. You will get the same number of cards in place of discarded ones. After the final betting round there is a showdown. The hands of the players are compared. The player with the strongest hand is the winner.
