Unlike other poker variations in Texas Holdem there are community cards, which are common for all players in the game. The community cards can be used by all players for forming hands. When playing Texas Holdem each player receives 2 cards face down. 5 down cards dealt on the table are called community cards. After the deal there is a betting round, after which three community cards are turned up. Then there is one more betting round. One more community cards is turned up and one more betting round follows. After the last betting round and the turn up of the last community card the hands of the players are compared. The winning combination can be formed from the two pocket cards and five community cards. The player with the strongest hand is the winner.
