When playing Stud Poker players are dealt only several cards from the very beginning. The rest of the cards are dealt during the betting rounds. The example of Stud Poker is the game with the same name - Stud Poker. In Stud Poker each player receives one card face down and one card face up (5 card stud) or 2 cards down and 1 card up (7 card). The player to the dealer’s left begins. After the deal each player makes a bet and receives one more card. There is another round of betting and all cards are dealt face up except the last card. The showdown occurs after the last card is dealt and the player with the highest hand is the winner.
