> Stud Poker Principle
There exist at east 4 types of poker players. Belonging to this or that type players have both strong and weak points and all of them have advantages over others in some particular situations. Each style is based on two attributes: Depending on the number of hands the player plays with the players can be either tight or loose. Tight players play few hands and loose players play with a lot of hands. Or the player can be either aggressive or passive. An aggressive player has the following features: he bluffs and raises while a passive player calls the bets of other players. Loose-Aggressive In an online poker environment this is the weakest category. These players are constantly raising before and after the flop. Their strategy often works against poor players and will win a lot of small pots, but online, these players will go broke quickly. Loose-Aggressive players attract sharks. The sharks are fine with letting these players have 10 small pots; they are after the three large pots which will eventually break this player. The only advice here is not to stick to one and the same table. It is better to change tables every 50 hands. Loose-Passive The players of this type can also be said to be weak. Their strategy is to call the bets of other players no matter how strong their hands are. Unlike other players these ones can stay in the game for a very long period of time. But still even they are not able of beating the house. Tight-Passive What allows players of this type to win is other players who play the game wrong. The biggest weakness of a Tight-Passive player is that they are so easy to figure out. Players of this type never bluff. If this type of player has a decent hand or a lot of outs, he or she will call your bet or make a small bet. They fold if they have a bad hand. Tight-Aggressive This style can be very successful for online play. They have the following principle of the game: see a flop with a decent hand and then take a shot at the pot after the flop with a bet.
