There exist at east 4 types of poker players. Belonging to this or that type players have both strong and weak points and all of them have advantages over others in some particular situations.
There are at least two main attributes for each of these types.
Whether the player is loose and play a lot of hands or tight and play very few hands.
If the player is aggressive (raises and bluffs) or passive (calls other players bets).
Loose-Aggressive
Loose-aggressive player is the weakest player especially in online poker game. These players are constantly raising before and after the flop. In a real casino such a strategy will allow to win only small pots, but in online casinos they will be only a flop. Sharks are often attracted by such players. Sharks let such a player has his small pots, but then they are ready to break this player and win all his money. The only way this strategy works is for the player to wander from one table to another approximately every 50 hands.
Loose-Passive
The players of this type can also be said to be weak. These players always call other players’ bets disregarding their strength. Such players can stay in the game longer than anybody else, but they will never be able to beat the house edge.
Tight-Passive
With the help of bad players at the table players of this type win. The biggest weakness of a Tight-Passive player is that they are so easy to figure out. You never have to worry about a bluff from them. This player is more likely to call the bets of other players or to make small bets. They fold if they have a bad hand.
Tight-Aggressive
This is the best type among all others. These players will only see a flop with a decent hand and will then take a shot at the pot after the flop with a bet.
