When playing Stud Poker players are dealt only several cards from the very beginning. Players receive the rest of the cards during the betting rounds. The example of Stud Poker is the game with the same name- Stud Poker. In Stud Poker each player receives one card face down and one card face up (5 card stud) or 2 cards down and 1 card up (7 card). The gambler to the dealer’s left starts. After the deal there is a betting round. Each player receives one more card. One more betting round and the players are dealt all cards face up, except the last one. The showdown occurs after the last card is dealt and the player with the highest hand is the winner.
