In Stud Poker players receive only some of their cards at the beginning of the game. The rest of the cards are dealt during the betting rounds. The example of Stud Poker is the game with the same name- Stud Poker. In Stud Poker each player receives one card face down and one card face up (5 card stud) or 2 cards down and 1 card up (7 card). The player to the dealer’s left begins. After the deal each player makes a bet and receives one more card. One more betting round and the players are dealt all cards face up, except the last one. The showdown occurs after the last card is dealt and the player with the highest hand is the winner.
