You are dealt five cards in the first hand, and offered the option with that first hand, to choose which cards you want to hold and which you would like to discard. The cards you discard are replaced with new ones from the deck. If you have a hand which is stronger than that of the dealer you win. Be aware that the lowest winning hand is a Pair of Tens. The basis of Tens or Better is a video poker game Jacks or Better.
