> Poker Types
All poker players can be divided into four groups. Belonging to this or that type players have both strong and weak points and all of them have advantages over others in some particular situations. Each of these types has at least two basic attributes. Depending on the number of hands the player plays with the players can be either tight or loose. Tight players play few hands and loose players play with a lot of hands. Whether the player is aggressive or passive. An aggressive player raises and bluffs a lot. A passive player prefers to call the bets of other players. Loose-Aggressive In an online poker environment this is the weakest category. The main feature of such a player is that he raises every time after the flop. Their strategy often works against poor players and will win a lot of small pots, but online, these players will go broke quickly. Sharks are often attracted by such players. Sharks let such a player has his small pots, but then they are ready to break this player and win all his money. To avoid such results it is better for such players to change tables from time to time. For example, every 50 hands. Loose-Passive This is another weak category. The players of this group will gain success if there are a lot of wild players at the table and everything is determined only by luck. These players always call other players’ bets disregarding their strength. Unlike other players these ones can stay in the game for a very long period of time. But still even they are not able of beating the house. Tight-Passive These players can win money simply because there are so many bad players in the online poker rooms. Such players are easy to notice. Such players never bluff. This player is more likely to call the bets of other players or to make small bets. If not, they will fold. Tight-Aggressive This style can be very successful for online play. These players will only see a flop with a decent hand and will then take a shot at the pot after the flop with a bet.
